A recently completed restoration of a fire damaged American Chippendale Tiger Maple desk from the mid 1760s. The second picture shows it at a California auction before it was purchased and given to me to restore. Inside and out complete overhaul...the charred finish had to be scraped with a cabinet scraper before treatment to the scorched areas with oxalic acid. The integrity of the piece is now back in full view at the owner's residence in the San Francisco, Bay area. Completed 5/15/24
